Our Hearing Center

Everyone deserves the ability to adequately communicate with loved ones. Brighter Hearing was founded with one goal in mind: to help people hear better so they can live better.

Living with hearing loss is very isolating and it is easy to withdraw from friends and family. It is frustrating to always have to ask other people to repeat themselves. It’s embarrassing to respond inaccurately to something that you did not hear. It is tiring having to work so hard to hear what people are saying. Better hearing makes a huge difference in so many aspects of life.

We are proud VES, LHI and QTC providers. All veterans must be scheduled through the above referring sources before scheduling an appointment. Additionally, any changes to an appointment needs to be done through the referring source. Dr. Neufeld is honored to be able to help Veterans with their hearing health in Savannah and Richmond Hill.

Our Team

Katherine Neufeld, Au.D., CCC-A

Owner | Audiologist

Dr. Katherine Neufeld has over 23 years of experience in both hospital and private practice settings. She specializes in adult hearing aid fittings, with a particular interest in patients who struggle hearing in background noise and in tinnitus management. Dr. Neufeld opened Brighter Hearing (formerly Neufeld Hearing) during COVID as she was seeking a smaller and safer option to help her patients.

Dr. Neufeld has firsthand experience seeing how hearing loss affects loved ones as her mom had hearing loss since childhood. Growing up with a mom who couldn’t hear was normal for Dr. Neufeld and when she was in college she stumbled upon audiology. It was then that she realized she could help people hear better as a career. Ever since she has dedicated herself to serving the hearing needs of the Savannah and Richmond Hill areas.

Dr. Neufeld is a former military kid and grew up living all over the country. She is also a retired swimmer, she swam for Ohio State University and now she enjoys watching her daughter, Anna, swim competitively for LCAC (Low Country Aquatic Club). She enjoys playing tennis on the Landings Women’s Tennis Association and enjoys cheering on her son, Wells, who plays travel soccer for Tormenta. In her little free time, she can be found golfing with her husband, Ben, and traveling.

Savannah Crisologo

Resident

Savannah grew up as a military kid, moving all over the country and experiencing life in many different places. Her passion for hearing healthcare stems from her younger brother who was born with hearing loss. She has been his biggest advocate and wants to ensure everyone has access to sound, because she knows how isolating it can be without it.

Savannah is currently in school to become an audiologist. She has experience working in university clinics, the VA hospital, ENT clinics, and now private practice. She’s chosen to stay at Brighter Hearing because it gives her the ability to build meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients. Being able to help people reconnect with the world, just like she’s seen with her brother, is incredibly fulfilling for Savannah. Seeing how a person’s demeanor and overall quality of life transform after seeking help is her favorite part of the job.

Savannah has lived in California, Texas, South Carolina, Hawaii, Ohio, West Virginia, and now Georgia. In her free time she enjoys going to the gym and being in the water – whether by the pool or at the beach. Savannah loves the sun and the water, she finds them to be the perfect combo to relax and recharge.
